Patient Access Specialist - PRN

Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and collect insurance information while processing physician orders and utilizing an overlay tool. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls with appropriate compassion, and perform pre-registration of patient accounts prior to visits by obtaining demographic and financial liability data. Conduct audits of accounts to ensure forms are completed accurately and timely, providing statistical data to leadership, and screen medical necessity using ABN software for Medicare patients. Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system to select applicable plan codes and enter benefit data to support point of service collections and billing processes.
