Patient Access Specialist - PRN Day shift

Facilitate patient tracking and billing by obtaining and verifying accurate demographic information, securing financial responsibility from guarantors, and collecting out-of-pocket payments to maximize hospital reimbursement. Answer telephone inquiries professionally, record messages, and communicate with medical staff while providing and obtaining signatures on required forms and consents. Verify insurance benefits for all plans, confirm correct payors, and obtain necessary authorizations. Scan registration and clinical documentation into the system, maintain medical records, and coordinate patient transfers when needed. Maintain cash drawers, log all patients and payments, and keep visitor/vendor logs. Ensure a clean working environment, receive deliveries, and notify staff of equipment malfunctions. Assist medical staff as needed and attend required meetings. Requires one year of patient registration and insurance verification experience in a healthcare setting.
