Job Summary
Provide patient access and scheduling support in outpatient radiology within Northwestern Medicine; responsibilities include collecting and verifying patient demographics, scheduling appointments, performing medical necessity checks, communicating with patients regarding referrals and insurance, handling authorization numbers, and ensuring accurate data entry in Epic. Demonstrates HIPAA compliance, offers exceptional customer service, supports cross-department coordination, and contributes to quality assurance and process improvements while adapting to rotating shift patterns and a team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing
- Ability to type 40 wpm
- Ability to multi-task

- Excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem solving skills
