Job Summary

Conduct all paperwork and billing orientation duties, collect co-pays and self-pay cash receipts, and process Medicaid and third-party payment methods. Utilize the H.I.T. system to enter billing information, perform system audits, and update relevant data. Assist patients with Medicaid applications by obtaining IDs, rent receipts, and birth certificates, while confirming benefit eligibility and securing pre-authorizations. Work with third-party payers and state agencies to resolve claim denials and prepare weekly and monthly Medicaid billing reports. Maintain orderly patient flow, ensure proper check-in direction, and complete chart audits after program termination. Provide reception desk coverage as needed. This Full-Time role supports two OASAS Housing programs at Helio Health, a mission-driven organization treating substance use and mental health disorders.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree /GED
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Third-Party claim procedures
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Accounts Receivables
