Job Summary
Collect co-pays, self-pays, and credit card payments while producing cash receipts and obtaining pre-authorizations from insurance companies. Review third-party and Medicaid payment methods, confirm benefit eligibility, and resolve claim denials through consistent follow-up with payers and state agencies. Enter billing information and system audits into the HIT system, prepare weekly and monthly Medicaid billing reports, and complete chart audits after patient termination. Ensure patients are directed to appropriate areas while maintaining orderly flow and providing reception desk coverage when necessary. Work Monday through Friday at the Meadows CCBHC or West Onondaga Outpatient Programs with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree /GED
- Associate's degree preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Medicaid and Third-Party claim procedures
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- Experience in Accounts Receivables
