Job Summary

Patient Access Specialist responsible for benefits investigation, prior authorization support, and claims adjudication for Biologics by McKesson. Executes refill management and delivery coordination, handles inbound patient and provider inquiries, processes eligibility checks and pharmacy claims, assists with prior authorization, documents progress notes, schedules medication delivery and payment with patients, and reports adverse events and product complaints to clinicians. Requires 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, with high school diploma as education; CPhT certification preferred. Hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence twice weekly, located near Cary, NC.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience in pharmacy or healthcare
  • Experience with insurance eligibility and prior authorization processes
  • Competence in basic computer skills and Microsoft applications
  • Conscientious, detail oriented with problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible and team-oriented
  • Strong communication skills for patient/provider interactions
  • Current, unrestricted status for CPhT certification (preferred, not required)
