Job Summary
Answer and process all telephone calls at the console, monitor alarms and security systems, and execute disaster and emergency protocols. Update manuals, call lists, and directories while training new personnel. Complete patient registration at bedside or registration areas, ensuring departmental policies are followed. Interact with patients, families, physicians, nurses, managers, and staff while handling confidential information. Make decisions concerning notifications of administrative personnel, staff, and employees regarding health, safety, and business interests. Requires one to three years of clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting, with a high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One (1) to three (3) years of clerical experience
- Medical setting experience
