Hospital Patient Access Specialist responsible for patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and data integrity within Northwestern Medicine. Delivers high-quality customer service, maintains HIPAA compliance, collaborates with various hospital departments, and supports accurate demographic collection, eligibility checks, and financial/documentation tasks using Epic and related systems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of customer service/medical office experience; available full-time during daytime hours in Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing
- English language proficiency (read/write)
- Basic computer skills
- Type at least 40 wpm
