Job Summary
Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and collect insurance information while processing physician orders and utilizing an overlay tool. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls with compassion, adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits by obtaining demographic data, explaining consent forms, and collecting point-of-service collections and past-due balances. Review eligibility responses to select applicable insurance plan codes and screen medical necessity using Advanced Beneficiary Notice software. Conduct audits of accounts to ensure accuracy and provide statistical data to leadership, maintaining clean claim rates and meeting assigned point-of-service goals.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI
- High School Diploma/GED
- CRCR certification
- Must be able to work on-site at Ardent - Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM
