Job Summary
Welcome patients warmly and professionally while verifying and updating demographic and insurance information accurately. Review eligibility and collaborate with the billing team to support financial estimates, then collect copays, deductibles, and other balances confidently. Schedule and reschedule appointments with precision, float to phone operations for inbound call management, and route inquiries to clinical or administrative staff. Scan and upload documentation into the EMR, maintain an organized front office environment, and assist with administrative tasks like faxes and workflow management. This role requires flexibility to float between Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, and Oviedo locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and patient communication skills
- Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, and general office software
- Must demonstrate professionalism, the ability to remain composed under pressure, and de-escalation skills during challenging patient interactions
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in multiple front office functions, including phones and scheduling
- Must be flexible to float between Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, and Oviedo locations as needed
- Warm, welcoming, and hospitality-minded
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Assertive yet professional communicator
- Coachable and receptive to feedback

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical front office, patient access, or medical reception experience
- Experience with insurance verification, benefit review, and patient financial collections
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a high-accountability, team-oriented environment
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) and/or Phreesia
