Job Summary
Scheduler for patient access responsible for performing thorough patient registration via telephone prior to outpatient clinic, testing, or surgery; collaborates with staff and Chief Nursing Officer on hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met; preferred background in radiology/clinical areas; 1+ years in patient access preferred; requires typing at least 35 wpm, knowledge of medical insurance, and strong telephone communication; on-the-job training and ongoing education may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Typing/computer skills with minimum 35 wpm
- Knowledge of Medical Insurance
- Excellent telephone etiquette/communication
