Job Summary
Performs a complete verification of health insurance coverage and obtains financial demographic information from the discharge planner and outside referrals. Verifies insurance information including primary payor data, notifies Nurses of any changes, and provides information on insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility to the discharge planner. Enters verified insurance information into the computer and acts as a liaison between verifications and reimbursement. All responsibilities listed are considered essential functions under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
