Job Summary
Facilitates patient medical and financial clearance using healthcare knowledge and communication skills to resolve issues around access, authorization of services, and coordination of scheduled programs. Coordinates and schedules patient care for all wellness programs, answers telephone inquiries regarding physician referrals, covers front desk duties, maintains the patient scheduling data base, collaborates with Patient Financial Services to obtain authorizations and submits retro-authorization as appropriate, and assists with filing/appeal of denials. Develops monthly Wellness newsletter, updates the website, creates promotional materials, actively participates in training, and performs other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent preferred
- Two years' healthcare experience preferred
