Job Summary
Register patients, collect co-payments and financial paperwork, and obtain necessary consents and authorizations. Answer telephone inquiries, resolve non-clinical questions, and coordinate general requests while maintaining accurate medical records and scanning files. Schedule procedure appointments, educate patients on pre- and post-exam requirements, and manage front desk supply inventory. Perform ongoing documentation audits for medical necessity and Medicare compliance, including checking eligibility and maintaining ABN records. Ensure adherence to HIPAA, EMTLA, and Joint Commission standards while attending staff meetings.
