Patient Access Representative

Communicate directly with patients and families in person or by phone to complete the registration process, collecting demographics, health information, and verifying insurance eligibility. Utilize computer systems to enter access data in real-time, gather clinical information for referrals and pre-authorizations, and collect co-pays while addressing outstanding balances. Respond to inquiries about routine and sensitive topics with compassion, generate patient data reports, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of registration requirements for admitting, emergency, maternity, and rehabilitation units. Requires onsite work at the Cobleskill, NY facility from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a valid driver's license and ability to stand for long periods.
