Job Summary
Patient Access Representative responsible for greeting patients, registering demographics, verifying insurance, handling collections/payments, maintaining medical records, and scheduling. Must accurately enter information, obtain signatures, verify patient identity, coordinate with staff for tests and imaging, and process medical records requests. Strong customer service, multitasking, organization, communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Medical terminology certification preferred; HS diploma/GED or 3+ years’ experience preferred. Per Diem with rotating shifts at St. Mary’s & Rao campus in Amsterdam, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of three (3) years’ experience required
- Previous customer service required
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Medical terminology certification preferred
- Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English
