Patient Access Representative (SEIU), Full-time, Rotating shift

Verify insurance, calculate and collect patient liability amounts, and ensure accurate physician orders are attached to patient records. Interview patients for pertinent account information, obtain necessary signatures for treatment, and answer questions while explaining policies clearly. Print and collate paperwork for distribution to units or departments, and escort patients to their areas or refer them to available escorts as needed. Follow guidelines from senior staff and perform other assigned duties. This role is represented by SEIU. Located in San Luis Obispo at Adventist Health Sierra Vista, a 162-bed acute care facility with a Level III NICU and trauma center.
