Job Summary
Conduct pre-registration and registration for inpatients and outpatients in an efficient, accurate, and professional manner to meet patient, physician, and hospital needs. Utilize computers, ten keys, copy machines, fax machines, and credit card devices to process transactions, applying knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and registration. Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills when interacting with staff, patients, guarantors, insurance companies, and physicians while following outlined directions. Requires high school diploma or GED, two years of work-related experience, and bilingual ability preferred. Pay range is $21.00 to $29.12.

Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Two years previous work-related experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Previous medical billing, registration and collection experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with staff, patients/guarantors, insurance companies, physicians and all others
- Ability to follow directions as outlined and comprehends complex issues
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment at times of need
- Bilingual preferred
