Job Summary
Provides patient registration and demographic/insurance information, verifies insurance coverage and benefits, collects out-of-pocket liability, and performs MSPQ questionnaire for Medicare patients. Uses tools such as Real Time Eligibility, Phreesia, or payer websites to confirm coverage and referrals/authorizations as required. Interacts with patients, families, and staff to ensure accurate data capture and compliance, rotates through Patient Access points, and supports high-quality customer service in the Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree in healthcare or business administration preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in hospital, physician practice, or other related healthcare environment customer service
- Registration experience in Emergency Department preferred
- Current Jefferson Seamless Access Representatives with a minimum of 1 year of experience will be considered as meeting the experience requirement
