Patient Access Representative, PRN

Register and assist patients through the registration process across the system by interviewing incoming patients, reviewing pre-registration information, entering registration details, verifying insurance, collecting payments as required, and providing point-of-service assistance to service lines to help the physician and patient move through the system smoothly. Responsibilities include following registration policy, obtaining signatures, reviewing physician orders, coordinating with departments to secure accounts financially, identifying self-pay patients, explaining ABNs, performing QA of daily registrations, balancing cash and credit card payments, and delivering cross-functional support to improve patient flow and service delivery.
