Patient Access Representative PRN

Answer phones and schedule patients for initial and follow-up appointments. Greet and register patients while collecting and accurately entering all required visit information. Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and insurance companies. Perform insurance verification, real-time or manual, for eligibility. Collect co-pays and other patient liabilities at point of service. Obtain signatures for necessary documents. Safeguard and reconcile all monies collected daily in compliance with cash handling policies. This position is cross-trained to the Emergency Department for Patient Access responsibilities when needed. Requires day, evening, and weekend availability; overnights are a plus.
