Job Summary
Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations while interviewing patients to obtain personal, demographic, and insurance information. Correctly assign insurance coverages based on eligibility responses, explain plan benefits and authorization status, and create a transparent financial experience by generating estimates and collecting payments. Transcribe and validate orders, schedule walk-in appointments, and advocate for patient engagement by activating MyChart. Monitor the environment to attend to patients, families, and visitors, while assisting with wayfinding and connecting patients to care. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Medical terminology/prior experience with healthcare
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED preferred from an accredited school
