Job Summary
Patient Access Representative role focusing on patient registration and admission tasks within a health system. Responsibilities include completing patient registrations, verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining pre-authorizations, collecting co-pays/deductibles, balancing daily cash, ensuring completeness of EHR documentation, and providing high-quality customer service. The role may involve scheduling, pre-registering, discharging patients, and supporting payment-related activities; requires ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Must have high school diploma or equivalent and be comfortable using various software tools and the EMR/EHR system; BLS certification preferred; DPS fingerprint clearance required for applicable departments. Location: Kingman, AZ, United States; on-site in-person work with potential exposure considerations in healthcare settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service position and/or office setting
- American Heart Association BLS
- DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Desired Qualifications
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and/or office setting (PAR)
- Healthcare registration, scheduling, and/or authorizations experience (preferred)
- DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (required by multiple departments)
- Exposure Category II: potential exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues (clinical setting)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Effective oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient with phone, computer hardware, and software (EMR/EHR)
