Job Summary
Operate the Rolm console to relay incoming calls and in-house pages while monitoring alarms and other equipment. Function as the communications center during emergencies and perform clerical duties and minor telephone repairs. Maintain a pleasant telephone manner and speaking voice while managing front desk, reception, and telephone skills under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Cover other shifts as needed. Available to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Rolm console experience or similar switchboard/telephone experience
- Experience dealing with the public
- Must be able to type 35 wpm
- Computer and word processing experience
- Must be able to learn new technological equipment and services and incorporate into job
- Pleasant telephone manner and speaking voice
- Good front desk, reception, and telephone skills
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Be available to cover other shifts as needed
