Patient Access Representative

Interview patients and their relatives to obtain demographic, insurance, and clinical information for entry into the EMR. Conduct registrations at Parrish Healthcare hospitals or off-site locations while promoting the Culture of Choice®. Explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment; obtain or create copies of necessary supporting documentation. Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to patients and providers to obtain updated order information. Complete verification, signatures, and authorizations in a timely manner while adhering to EMTALA, HIPAA, and H.E.A.R.T. guidelines. Report safety issues and medical errors through designated channels. Work 29 hours per week on a part-time basis with eligibility for health, dental, vision, and 403(b) benefits starting day one.
