Patient Access Representative

Interview patients, relatives, and responsible individuals to obtain demographic, insurance, and clinical information for entry into the EMR. Conduct registrations at Parrish Healthcare hospitals or off-site locations while explaining policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment. Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to providers to obtain updated or corrected order information. Complete verification, signatures, and authorizations in a timely manner, ensuring all data is accurate and complete. Adhere to H.E.A.R.T. guidelines, EMTALA, HIPAA, and safety procedures while reporting medical errors or safety concerns through designated channels. Work 29 hours per week on a part-time basis with eligibility for health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits starting day one.
