Patient Access Representative | Ortho & Sports Medicine | 40 hrs/week

Patient Access Representative at Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. You will be the first point of contact providing extraordinary customer service to patients in person or over the phone, creating a welcoming and safe environment. Responsibilities include registration tasks (greeting patients, verifying demographics, document handling, signatures), scheduling coordination with nursing/providers, referrals and pre-authorizations, interpreter services, check-in/out, operating multi-line phones, and managing queue issues. Additional duties cover chart organization, supporting provider documents, initial coordination of patient financial assistance, recalling patients, telemedicine coordination, appointment reminders, and general office tasks. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education helpful), with experience in a medical office setting and strong customer service skills; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
