Job Summary
Welcome and greet patients at the hospital front desk, clinics, and Emergency Room while registering them and verifying demographics and insurance coverage in the electronic medical records system. Schedule appointments for Rural Health and Specialty Clinics, obtain required signatures on legal forms, and verify insurance eligibility while collecting payments due at time of service. Organize incoming and outgoing mail, assist with encounter error corrections, and submit daily collection reports with high accuracy. Maintain professional rapport with patients, families, physicians, and departmental staff while ensuring patient information confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1 year customer service experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills
- Able to handle multiple tasks and interdepartmental coordination simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Medical office or hospital setting experience
