Job Summary
Greet patients and caregivers, provide directions, and answer questions to ensure a welcoming experience. Complete patient registration accurately, verify insurance coverage, and confirm authorizations and referrals are in place. Collect payments, reconcile cash, and maintain accurate records in PatientTrak and other systems. Scan documentation and transfer information to appropriate systems while keeping data current. Confirm appointments, follow late patient procedures, and ensure workflow processes comply with Joint Commission requirements. Update systems for new insurance policies and assist with various reports. This role serves as the first on-site point of contact at National Jewish Health, the leading respiratory hospital in the nation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of customer service experience
- 1 year of medical front office experience, admissions and/or patient registration
