Job Summary
Provide first-point-of-contact patient service by greeting and assisting patients, verifying demographics, and handling registrations with document routing, signatures, and financial arrangements. Schedule and coordinate appointments with nursing teams, obtain referrals and pre-authorizations, arrange interpreter services, and manage patient check-in/out and multi-line phone operations. Support registration workflows, manage patient financial assistance and payments, track health information on accounts, coordinate telemedicine, and assist with chart preparation and office duties while maintaining a welcoming, accurate, and compliant environment. Strong emphasis on customer service, healthcare terminology familiarity, and collaboration with providers and care teams to ensure timely access to care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
- Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential
- Six months' customer service experience desired
