Job Summary
Greeting and registering patients, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, and pulling/ filing medical charts. Ensures accurate demographic and insurance information, screens for insurance eligibility, pre-certification and physician referral requirements, and guides patients on requirements. Assists in identifying self-pay patients and refers to financial assistance as applicable. Maintains open communication with other Patient Access and clinical staff, supports training/new employees, and utilizes current technology systems with strong administrative and customer-service skills. One year healthcare experience preferred; education includes a high school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s Degree (preferred)
- CPR certification (based on position)
