Job Summary
Patient Access Representative Role focusing on patient registration, benefits verification, and discharge processes within a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include preregister/register/discharge patients, verify insurance eligibility, obtain pre-authorizations, collect copays and payments, balance cash, ensure accuracy of EHR data, and maintain high-quality patient service. Lead PAR duties involve supervising daily PAR activities, QA audits, staff scheduling, and participating in hiring and process improvements. Required skills include multitasking, strong communication, proficiency with healthcare software and office technologies, and a high school level education. Additional duties may involve occasional travel and adherence to security clearances.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and/or office setting for PAR
- Minimum of 1 year of registration or billing experience in healthcare setting for Lead PAR
- American Heart Association BLS
