Job Summary
Provide patient access and registration support in a hospital setting, including greeting patients, completing full patient registrations, scheduling procedures, verifying insurance and eligibility, and securing required forms (e.g., advance directives, consent, Medicare notices). Maintain accurate demographic data, educate patients on financial liabilities, perform cash handling, and coordinate with Payor requirements for approvals and post-discharge care when needed. Requires strong customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to operate in multiple Patient Access service areas including Emergency Department; may require vaccination confirmations per policy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 – 1 year in a Customer Service role
- 0 – 1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred
