Job Summary
Patient Access Representative I role responsible for communicating with patients, participants and staff to accurately schedule prescribed procedures and gather demographic, insurance, and clinical information for the procedure. Responsibilities include gathering information for data entry, resolving scheduling or location issues, coordinating and communicating schedules, assisting with insurance pre-certification/authorization, counseling patients on pre-service requirements, performing clerical and reception duties related to patient registration, and assisting with other duties as assigned. Requires proficient computer skills, excellent customer service, strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Schedule is PRN with 8 and 12 hour shifts and on-call rotation; weekend coverage as needed; additional hours based on departmental needs.
