Job Summary
Conduct preregistration, registration, and patient financial counseling for co-payments and outstanding balances. Collect demographic and financial data to generate medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and federal guidelines. Verbally interview patients and families to obtain registration information, enter billing and clinical data, and counsel on payer financial waivers. Coordinate Patient Access functions with medical, revenue cycle, and nursing departments to maintain smooth service delivery. Work evenings and weekends from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Professional/Vocational/Trade Training
- Must be available for travel (Never or Rarely)
- Ability to compassionately engage in conversation with patients on their responsibilities for Copayment, Prepayment and Outstanding Balances
- Must be available for M-F 2pm-10:30pm
- Must be available for every other weekend Sat/ Sun 2pm-10:30pm
