Job Summary
Greet customers and facilitate the patient registration process by interviewing for demographic, financial, and health information via face-to-face or virtual interactions. Obtain insurance cards and identification, update medical records, and perform point-of-service data collection including co-payments and down payments. Schedule follow-up appointments, provide cost estimates, and reconcile cash drawers while reporting daily deposit records. Maintain work queues, sanitize equipment, and answer incoming phone calls to refer patients to the clinical team as needed. Rotate through day, evening, and night shifts including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Patient Access Representative or Patient Scheduler experience
- Completion of Healthcare Business Insight's Patient Access 2nd Level Certification Program within six months of hire date
- Valid legal right to work in the United States
- Completion of health screening and immunization review
- Verification of applicable licensure, certifications, education, and experience
- Successful completion of background checks including criminal, urine drug screen and MVR where required
