Job Summary
Greets customers and facilitates the patient registration process; interviews patients to obtain complete demographic details, financial information, and health information; collects insurance cards and updates patient information in the medical record; performs point-of-service data collection, including identifying and collecting co-payments and down payments, reconciles the cash drawer, and reports daily deposits; schedules follow-up appointments per physician orders and provides cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming visits; serves as liaison between patients and Virtual Patient Registration Representatives and Patient Schedulers; requires walking long distances within the facility and handling clerical duties as assigned; preferred qualifications include prior Patient Access Representative or Patient Scheduler experience and completion of the Patient Access 2nd Level Certification Program within six months of hire; the role is part-time (FTE 0.6) with day/evening/night shift rotations and possible remote/hybrid option not specified as primary arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Patient Access Representative or Patient Scheduler experience
- Completion of Healthcare Business Insight’s Patient Access 2nd Level Certification Program within six months of hire date
