Job Summary
Gather and verify patient demographic and insurance information while communicating financial responsibilities directly to patients. Coordinate medical records, schedule appointments, and resolve inquiries using multiple scheduling and documentation systems. Escalate discrepancies to maintain workflow integrity and support daily access operations across the Emergency Department and main registration points. Ensure accurate data capture and compliance with healthcare regulations for revenue cycle management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- High School GED
- 1 year relevant experience in healthcare
- knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation
- knowledge of health insurance payers
- real-time insurance eligibility verifications
- basic computer and administrative skills
