Patient Access Representative- BMC ED

Check in and register all emergency room patients, obtaining registration, insurance, and verification information while screening and directing them to appropriate providers. Manage cash drawer operations for co-pay collections and handle incoming telephone calls. Verify appointments for scheduled arrivals and facilitate up-front financial collections. Demonstrate customer service excellence and act as a patient advocate while adhering to Carle policies and procedures. Order clerical supplies, perform recall entries, and manage physician schedules as needed. Participate in project planning and suggest process improvements.
