Job Summary
Patient Access Representative / Patient Account Representative at MedMark Treatment Center responsible for patient billing, verification of insurance benefits, and maintenance of billing records. Primary tasks include reviewing and processing fiscal/account records, confirming insurance coverage, contacting payers for post-billing payments, resolving payment and billing issues, reconciling daily money, ensuring accuracy of demographics and authorizations, managing the revenue cycle for self-pay clients, and maintaining confidentiality of patient records. Backup receptionist duties include front-desk tasks such as checking in patients, collecting payments, answering phones, scheduling intakes, and data entry. Requires strong customer service, knowledge of medical billing procedures, ability to communicate effectively, and a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check. Minimum education and experience specified; salary ranges provided with company benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ prior experience in a medical office setting
- 2-4 years’ experience with Medicaid and PAC and commercial insurance (preferred)
