Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and financial data while entering information into the electronic medical record. Check in and interview patients to complete appropriate paperwork, direct them to appointments, and resolve claim issues or registration errors. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, explain cost information, and collect co-pays or deductibles while responding to questions about financial assistance programs. Screen and approve patients for financial assistance, obtain signatures, and submit request for information forms to the appropriate departments. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound telephone calls, mentor staff as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, food service, bank/office settings, call center, or other settings that engages with customers, etc.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work from 5:00am - 1:30pm on the following days
- Week 1 Schedule: Sun: 7:00a-3:30p
- Week 1 Schedule: Mon: 5:00a-1:30p
- Week 1 Schedule: Wed-Fri: 5:00a-1:30p
- Week 2 Schedule: Mon-Tue: 5:00a-1:30p
- Week 2 Schedule: Wed-Thu: 5:00a-1:30p
- Week 2 Schedule: Sat: 7:00a-3:30p
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Consistent walking, standing, bending, turning, etc.
- Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, up to 2-5 lbs. frequently
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
