Patient Access Representative Associate

Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and insurance information while entering data into the electronic medical record. Check in and interview patients to complete appropriate paperwork, verify eligibility and benefits, and resolve claim issues or registration errors. Direct patients to appointments, collect co-pays, and explain financial assistance programs. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound calls, obtain signatures, and refer complex questions as needed. Work a rotating schedule from 5:00am to 1:30pm, Monday through Saturday, with Sunday and Saturday shifts extending to 3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, food service, bank/office settings, call center, or other settings that engages with customers, etc.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work from 5:00am - 1:30pm on the following days
- Week 1 Schedule: Sun: 7:00a-3:30p, Mon: 5:00a-1:30p, Wed-Fri: 5:00a-1:30p
- Week 2 Schedule: Mon-Tue: 5:00a-1:30p, Wed-Thu: 5:00a-1:30p, Sat: 7:00a-3:30p
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Consistent walking, standing, bending, turning, etc.
- Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, up to 2-5 lbs. frequently
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
