Job Summary
Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for all pertinent account information, verifying insurance, and calculating/collecting patient liability. Ensures necessary signatures for treatment, checks for physician orders and attaches them to the patient record, prints and distributes paperwork to the appropriate unit/department, and escorts patients to their area or connects them with an escort as needed. Requires strong communication, accuracy in data entry and insurance verification, familiarity with health plan selection, and adherence to policies and vaccination requirements.
