Patient Access Representative

Job Summary
Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for all pertinent account information, verifying insurance and calculating/collecting patient liability, obtaining necessary signatures for treatment, and communicating policies clearly. Reads physician orders and attaches them to the patient record to ensure correct tests are received; prints and collates paperwork for distribution to the appropriate unit/department; escorts patients to their area or directs to available escort as needed. Requires strong attention to detail in insurance verification, authorization information entry, adherence to guidelines from senior staff, and ability to perform other related duties as assigned. Must comply with vaccination requirements and E-Verify participation; works within Adventist Health systems centered in the Roseville/Sacramento metropolitan area with a focus on patient access operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent (Preferred)
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience (Preferred)
- Vaccinations as a condition of employment (where applicable)
- E-Verify participation notice understanding
