Job Summary
Register and admit patients following hospital policy, ensuring accurate identification and complete demographic data entry into the computer system. Collect medical records, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain pre-certifications while explaining benefits and hospital policies. Process payments, collect valuables, and scan all required documents to maintain an accuracy score above 89%. Coordinate new patient schedules with physicians and ensure all medical orders are complete and signed. Perform duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently
- Comfortable with computers and medical terminology
- In depth knowledge of Cerner, most insurance types, and basic computer programs
- Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
- Ability to request financial Liability
- Maintain Accuracy Score above 89%
