Patient Access Representative (76712)

Register patients in the electronic health record by validating information, verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, and managing patient flow for medical and behavioral health appointments. Perform pre-registration activities including insurance verification up to two days out, review provider schedules for co-pays and outstanding balances, and resolve account inconsistencies with Revenue Cycle staff. Greet every customer with a smile, use active listening to address needs, and de-escalate situations with empathy while explaining coverage and out-of-pocket costs. Ensure all demographic and insurance data is accurate, refer uninsured families to the Eligibility Specialist, and scan/upload required documents. Review daily schedules to process visits and cash collections, address inquiries, and collaborate with the team to optimize front desk operations.
