Job Summary

Greet patients and visitors with a smile, obtain demographics, and update profiles while ensuring proper identification. Collect payments, assist with billing concerns, and scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system in compliance with HIPAA rules. Answer incoming phone calls and emails promptly, confirm unconfirmed appointments, and schedule or reschedule visits. Set up payment plans for patients unable to pay balances and verify insurance eligibility before provider visits. Monitor the lobby to manage wait times, clean the waiting room as needed, and ensure all daily appointments are checked out in eCW.

Desired Qualifications

  • One year of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • General knowledge of medical terminology and billing
  • Experience working with an electronic medical records system, specifically eClinicalWorks (eCW)
