Job Summary
Greet patients and visitors with a prompt, courteous manner while obtaining demographics, confirming identification, and updating profiles. Collect payments, process billing concerns, and scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Answer incoming phone calls and emails, confirm unconfirmed appointments for the next business day, and schedule or reschedule new and follow-up visits. Assist patients with online registration difficulties, verify insurance eligibility prior to provider visits, and act as a backup for payment responsibility determinations. Monitor the lobby to manage wait times and ensure the front area remains tidy.

Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- General knowledge of medical terminology and billing
- Experience working with an electronic medical records system, specifically eClinicalWorks (eCW)
