Job Summary

Greet patients and visitors with a smile, obtain demographics, and update patient profiles in the EMR system. Collect payments, scan insurance cards, and set up payment plans while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Answer high volumes of phone calls and emails, confirm unconfirmed appointments, and schedule or reschedule future visits. Monitor the lobby for waiting patients, verify insurance eligibility before provider visits, and ensure daily eCW checkouts. Maintain a tidy front area and assist with online registration forms.

Desired Qualifications

  • One year of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • OBGYN experience
  • General knowledge of medical terminology and billing
  • Experience working with an electronic medical records system, specifically eClinicalWorks (eCW)
