Job Summary
Patient Access Representative (PAR) position in a healthcare clinic requires welcoming patients, registering new patients, verifying demographics/insurance, scheduling appointments, updating charts, and coordinating with Financial Aid. Responsibilities include communicating wait times, ensuring accurate entry into the EHR, verifying insurance coverage, scheduling and handling patient flow, answering calls with cheerful assistance, documenting messages, and performing front-office duties with emphasis on customer service and patient satisfaction. The role may rotate to other departments as needed and teleworking is available if requested. Education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent; previous medical office experience is preferred. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a medical receptionist with multi-line phones and familiarity with insurance and EMR preferred
- Language Skills: English proficient; Spanish preferred but not required
